After nearly 4 years of planning and fundraising, Rescue Me Tucson opened our Rescue Me Marana Pet Adoption Center on Saturday, September 18th, 10 AM, at Tucson Premium Outlets in Marana(Google Map). Our compassionate, collaborative-based Pet Adoption Center features eight cat condos and five dog kennels of shelter grade quality that allow boarding for animals from participating rescue groups. We’ll provide a pleasant, safe environment to showcase animals living in shelters and rescues in lower resource areas with few potential adopters.

We’ll help fill adoption needs for the many new families moving into the area and offer resources for pet owners and unique pet merchandise.

Thank you from Rescue Me Tucson!

Thanks to your support, we’ve made great strides towards securing and opening our compassionate, collaborative Pet Adoption Center to help more rescue and shelter pets find homes! We’ll also feature a Community Corner to help spread the word about puppy mills and connect folks with needed resources to keep their pets healthy, happy, and with their loving families.

In addition to our Adoption Center site search, in 2020 we were able to help more than 500 animals  by distributing 8,846 lbs. of pet food; 57 Dog Houses and Crates; 20 Play pools, and 56 of bags of blankets and towels. We helped more than 60 animals  find their forever homes. Some needed urgent medical attention and all needed transportation from rural areas. We did all of this as a volunteer group collaborating with other rescues!

Also, a special thanks to Best Friends and HSUS for their COVID-19 relief grants. Huge thanks to the Binky Foundation for their recent grant to help us purchase kennel enrichment items, and to all our volunteers who’ve been working hard to help us!
